Front-end Engineer

The Position: Front-end Engineer m/f (part-time possible)

We are looking for a Front-end Engineer who will be joining the Strategy & Operations Unit and become an integral part of our IT Team. As a Front-end Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our website and e-commerce platform. You will work closely with our digital designer, developers (front- and back-end), and product managers to ensure that our website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for performance allowing for a great consumer experience. Your primary focus will be on the front-end development of our website and e-commerce platform, but you will also work on backend integration with APIs and other third-party tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our website and e-commerce platform

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimised for performance

  • Develop responsive, cross-browser, and cross-device compatible web pages

  • Implement third-party integrations and APIs to enhance website functionality

  • Optimise website performance and ensure fast load times

  • Develop and maintain automated testing processes to ensure quality of code

  • Stay up-to-date with latest web development trends, tools, and technologies

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in front-end web development

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Experience in building reusable components

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify

  • Knowledge of web development best practices and optimization techniques

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with back-end development and API integration

  • Knowledge of SPA best practices

  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation

  • Passion for cycling
